Lunar Eclipse

When I got up at 2 a.m., Garstang was under a blanket of cloud, so I never thought that I would be seeing this! Luckily, I reset the alarm, got up an hour later and the sky was completely clear. This lasted until 6 a.m., when the fog descended. Perfect timing!

Is it a better image with the tighter crop?

Both were taken with a Canon 80D with a 300mm lens: exposure 0.6 seconds, ISO 1600.
